When you're looking for an occupation, you know it's important to ask the right questions.
Career Builder Plus is a no-cost, flexible program that helps you get the answers.
Programs offered in Coquitlam and Maple Ridge
How does the program work?
In the Career Builder Plus Program, you explore your own employable skills and the job market, supported by career consultants and small class work groups. You'll learn using a flexible timetable that can be adjusted to fit your schedule. You'll answer key questions such as:
- what are my key career interests?
- what are my employable skills and aptitudes?
- what are the best career options for me?
- what training or education will I need?
- how can self-employment be a career option?
- how will employment trends affect my work options?
What support and resources will I have?
Career Builder Plus focuses on giving you the tools and information to make smart choices about your future career. You'll have access to:
- one-on-one career consulting
- a resource library
- computers and Internet research access
- phones, fax and photocopiers
Am I eligible for Career Builder Plus?
Career Builder Plus primarily serves residents of Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows and the Tri-Cities. You must meet the following qualifications to enrol:
- you are legally entitled to work in Canada
- you are currently unemployed
- or you are underemployed (20 hours per week or less)
