Orientation to Canadian Workplace Culture

A professional development course for skilled immigrants

Does this sound familiar?

Do you feel like you¿ve been getting nowhere in your job search, but you don¿t know why?

Are you having difficulty understanding what is required from you at work, or have lost a job due to a miscommunication?

Have you been told that you need to get ¿Canadian¿ experience?

Do you find it difficult to initiate conversations, socialize, or network?

Do you sometimes feel like you have difficulty making a good impression professionally?

Would you like to have more confidence, show initiative, and be assertive?

Would you like to have a better cultural and interpersonal understanding of Canadian workplace culture?

If you answered "yes" to 2 or more of those questions, then you may be a good candidate for the Orientation to Canadian Workplace Culture (OCWC) course!

What is OCWC?

This course for skilled immigrants is designed to:

  • Improve oral communication & interpersonal skills
  • Explore issues related to Canadian workplace values and culture

Note:

Intermediate English (CBL 6 or higher) is required.

What students say

"I always knew something was wrong. I would leave an interview knowing that I wouldn't get the job, but I never really knew why exactly. This course taught me what Canadian recruiters look for in an interview. It is totally different from my native country. No wonder I was never getting a call back!" Omar from Pakistan

I had no idea how differently things are done here in Canada¿this course has really opened my eyes, things are so much clearer to me now!¿ OCWC Graduate
