Submission Guidelines
The Gallery Mandate
The mandate of the Art Exhibit Committee is to feature new and established BC artists and to enhance the educational offerings of the College.
Portfolio Submissions
- artists must submit a portfolio including photographs or slides of at least 12 works, and must include the title, name, media, size and date of each piece
- artists should include resumes, letters artist's statement and/or newspaper articles about their work.
- Submissions should be addressed to the Chair, Art Exhibit Committee, Room 3300A, P.O Box 2503, New Westminster BC, V3L 5B2

Display Criteria
- each item must be labelled in the following order: title, artist's name, media, size and date
- artists must supply a corresponding master list including the price or estimated value and an artist statement three weeks before the show
- artists are responsible for transportation arrangements to and from the gallery and must help set up the display.

Financial Considerations
- there are no booking or exhibition fees for artists selected
- the Amelia Douglas Gallery charges no commission fee; nor does the gallery handle any transactions between artist and buyer
- Douglas College will provide publicity for exhibitions which may include posters, mailers, advertising, press releases and public service announcements for which there is no charge to the artists.
Gallery Space
The Amelia Douglas Gallery space consists of the gallery room and the Theatre foyer wall.
Gallery Wall Specifications
- Wall: 2.5 x 12 meters
- Wooden support on wall is 2 meters from the floor
Theatre Foyer Specifications
The foyer is 3.5 meters by 15.5 meters, and has a wooden support running horizontally 2 meters above the floor.

Six display cases are available, with plexiglass cases and pine wood bases.
