To Whom It May Concern:

I would first like to apologize for my tardiness in writing this letter expressing my immense gratitude to you for awarding me this bursary. I hope that this does not make you feel that I am in any way ungrateful for your help, for that couldn't be any farther from the truth.

I am currently in my second year of full-time studies to become a registered nurse, and am a full-time single mom of two very beautiful girls. Their names are Aaliyah, who is almost two years old, and Keneisha, who is six months old. I started the program when Aaliyah was only six months old and became pregnant with my second daughter, which is when my husband left me. I had Keneisha during midterms last semester. With only one week off of school to have her and having to fight to remain in the program, I am proud to say that I am still here. My girls are my inspiration in life; however tired I may be they give me the strength and determination to continue on. My family, including their father, has also been a great help in looking after the girls when I had a big paper to write or exam to study for. My own mom has taken on her old role of helping take care of my girls and me. And then there are my classmates who have been so incredibly awesome in their support, encouragement, and friendship. They have stood by me and given me that helping hand with my studies that I so desperately needed at times. Having said all that, I would not be able to accomplish any of this without the financial support of people like you, and for that I am truly grateful.

Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. It came at a time when my finances were desperate, so you can imagine how much it was appreciated. Truly Grateful, Kimberly Charles
