About
The Centre is located at the David Lam Campus in Coquitlam, serving as an organizing hub for activities that take place in many community locations around the Lower Mainland.
The Centre supports community health promotion activities on and off campus and uses a service-learning framework, that matches students and faculty with agencies in specific agency projects. The Centre also serves as a link for faculty, students and agencies in community-based research. Our goal is to promote healthy communities. Click on the link to see an electronic version of our newsletter for updates on our current activities.
We are situated organizationally within the Office of the Vice President - Education, and work closely with community agencies and groups and our three community-based college Faculties. We are governed by a very active Community Advisory Committee (Tena Peters, Chair, community agency representative ) and an internal Operations Committee (Dan Nagel and Geri Paterson are the Co-Chairs).
