Space Booking/Usage Guidelines

Rooms available for booking:
Centre for Health and Community Partnerships Rooms
- C 1028 (main room)
- C1024 (kitchen)
- C1023 (conference Room)
- C1021 (small "examining room")
Other rooms on David Lam Campus
- Within the Faculty of Health Sciences (e.g. communication labs, Simulation Centre)
- Other classrooms
Rooms at New Westminster campus
Possible uses of spaces:
C1028: activity or informational or instructional groups where privacy is not an issue
C1024: kitchen:
- equipment: stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, pots and pans, place setting of dishes and cutlery for eight, kettle, coffee maker (12 cup).
- use to prepare coffee and light refreshments for a group activity
- use as part of an activity (cooking class, shared meal preparation)
- this is not a staff/faculty /student lunchroom
C1023:equipped with board room style table and chairs, 40" LCD monitor and hook ups for lap top, teleconference
meeting room, small group discussion, informational groups
C1021: Individual meetings, examinations, health screening (need equipment)
Process:
- Fill out the Space Usage Request Form
- Centre DA will either book a room in the Centre or through the Faculties or through central booking, dependent on the needs of the activity
- A room booking system for the CHCP will be used
- Other rooms in the Health Sciences building designated for Health Sciences (e.g. simulation labs, communications labs) are booked through Health Sciences : Centre DA will contact Maureen Clarke at local 6403 or Marion Kloseck at local 6407
- Rooms books centrally:
- DLC: Centre DA will contact Doreen Kreschuk local 6262 or via email
- NWC: Centre DA will email "room bookings"
Booking Priorities for CHCP Space:
- Centre activities have priority booking, i.e. there must be some connection with CHCP operations
- Bookings that are on-going repeat will be accommodated first, then first come, first served
Use of Kitchen Area:
- Kitchen area cannot be used for cooking unless previously booked for this purpose.
- Equipment is locked. Previous arrangements for use of equipment is required
- Food safe rules prevail.
- Users must clean up after the activity (this includes activites in C1021, C1023 and C1028). Lack of clean up means no further bookings will be accepted for this group.
