Streams

Streams and the riparian vegetation protected from development as setbacks offer an excellent opportunity to connect parks and other protected areas. Through Green Links we have work independently and in partnership with Streamkeepers and other nongovernmental groups to plant ferns, flowers, shrubs and trees to increase biodiversity along streams. We have been particularly active in Coquitlam along such streams as Scott, Hoy and Maple Creeks, and in Surrey along streams such as Bear, Quibble and Enver/King Creeks.
